About & Methodology
Why Jain Indians Overseas exists.
Many product comparison sites focus on price, performance and convenience. Those are important, but they are not always the whole decision. This project aims to add another layer: transparent information about materials, impacts and practical choices for people who want to live thoughtfully in accordance with Jain values. We are building a research-led guide, not a religious authority or a universal certification scheme.
Brand character
Helpful, research-led, respectful, international, practical
Helpful
We organise information so it saves you time.
Research-led
We distinguish evidence from interpretation and show our sources.
Respectful
We recognise that Jain practice varies, and we do not rank approaches.
International
We focus on the markets where our audience lives: the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
Practical
We aim at decisions people can actually make in shops and showrooms.
Methodology
Six steps from question to evidence
- 1Identify a consumer question.
- 2Check manufacturer documentation and independent sources.
- 3Record exact market and variant.
- 4Mark uncertainty clearly.
- 5Invite corrections.
- 6Recheck periodically.
Editorial independence
Commercial relationships must not determine verification outcomes. See our editorial policy.
Status vocabulary
Five statuses. No universal badge.
- Manufacturer confirmed
Written evidence from the manufacturer about the exact variant, market and model year.
- Independently verified
Credible independent certification or testing with a defined scope that covers this criterion.
- Not verified
We do not yet have adequate evidence. This is neither a positive nor a negative verdict.
- Potential concern
A specific concern is supported by evidence but remains unresolved.
- Not applicable
The criterion is not relevant to this product.
We never collapse unknown into safe.
What we are not
- A religious authority or source of rulings.
- A certification body. We do not issue a “Jain-approved” badge.
- A shop. In version one there are no sales, payments or logins.
